From far away Fouste blended in with the sea of black jackets, black pants, until he came closer. His military jacket was actually a camouflaged plaid print. I appreciated the subtly of blending in, yet standing out. I'm also a big fan of using the Patagonia jacket as an inner layer (I do that all the time) cus there's limited lifestyle functional clothing in the market.

Favorite piece: Floral shirt. "The pattern looks much more organic than just engineered. I’ve had this shirt for 4 years!!! You can pair it with anything, and the best part about it… IT STILL FITS, LOL…".

Street Etiquette, SoHO

Apparently, I hit jack pot in February and didnt even know it. I left this picture hidden in my flickr for my friends to see, but hadnt posted it because the guy was on the phone and I couldnt ask him any questions besides "Can I take your picture". My friend Tishon just advised me that this guy is .... Street Etiquette. WORD. I wish I could have found out more. www.streetetiquette.com

Tim, 29, Master Denim Tailor (I thought he was joking at first, but that is indeed his real title).

Hopped into Levi's this weekend, and caught Tim on a smoke break. I loved his drop crotch pants (passed by 3 other guys along 14th St wearing similar silhouettes too) and his 'secret' workshop in the basement of Levi's.

His favorite item were his jewelery from a shop in Soho. Couldnt find a match through google, but it starts with Enrique.

Was rummaging through vintage stores this weekend in search for inspiration. Ended up buying a bandanna from Mark, but it was his moose shirt that I loved most.

I gravitated to all the different patterns and colors that mixed together cohesively. Michael calls his look "hooked up".
Beanie (from Mexico, vintage from father), scarf (gift from in-laws), vintage Generra jacket and gloves (hand me down from Generra's creative director), Marc Jacobs blazer,  Threads & Heirs plaid shirt, Zara cardigan (gift from Zara's designer),  Uniqlo T, Heutchy shoes (given by another friend), and Levi's jeans, Obedient Sons bag.

Joe: SoHo: Lunchtime

Joe, 44, Art Director, lives in Prospect Heights. Got food from....Whole Foods? (He should try Calexico next time!!)

It's never hard to find inspiration. You just have to walk around. Found Joe along Prince St. Caught his burgundy paisley scarf and glasses a mile away.

Hat (street vendor NY), glasses (while traveling Amsterdam), silk paisley scarf ( thrift store), Spiewak jacket, Bloomindale cashmere lined gloves,  Levi's 511 (514's are too baggy at thigh and butt for him), DocMarten's boots (better traction than LLBeans for ice on the sidewalk).

Joe's favorite piece though? His belt. Tex is the name of his cat. Got it in Vegas.
